“Fantastic,” came Ryan Agoncillo’s quick answer when ABS-CBN.com asked him to describe his 2008. “I’m just thankful for 2008. The year started very good and it’s ending very good. And I can only be thankful,” added the host-actor. Ryan was probably one of the busiest celebrities in 2008 with numerous shows to his name, not to mention he got engaged to Judy Ann Santos earlier in the year.
He continues to host the top-rating reality show Pinoy Fear Factor on ABS-CBN and another reality-based show Talentadong Pinoy on a different station. Ryan also top-bills the afternoon soap opera Pieta, which is based on the 1983 hit movie of the same title. He has also released a coffee-table book this year, entitled Ploning: The Making. The said book showcases Ryan’s passion for photography and fiancée Judai’s indie film Ploning.
He said that there have been many opportunities that have knocked on his door this year, which have encouraged him to do his best. “I think more than luck, siguro may gustong ipagawa sa akin ang Diyos and naniniwala naman ako na I learned my lessons well this year. So hopefully next year, it will just get better,” he shared. Ryan said that he has also learned the value of respect as far as career and personal life is concerned. “Sa pagsabak sa trabaho at personal na buhay, I have to learn the value of respect dahil minsan puwedeng maghalo na ‘yung dalawa.”
